Research for biodiversity
Good intentions aren't enough; conservation needs evidence. We evaluate conservation programs, document species through structured photographic surveys, and are building original research into what actually changes minds and behavior when it comes to protecting wildlife.
What we do
Programme evaluation
Independent pre/post evaluation of conservation education programs, measuring knowledge gain, attitude change, and behavior shift in participants.
Wildlife surveys
Structured photographic monitoring of species in the field, contributing to citizen science platforms like iNaturalist and eBird and building a long-term data record.
Media effectiveness research
Original research into whether and how conservation photography and storytelling change attitudes and behavior in young Kenyans.
Current evaluation work·
Ewaso Lions-Warrior Watch
We are evaluating Ewaso Lions' Warrior Watch programme in Samburu, northern Kenya, using digital pre/post surveys to measure how participation changes communities's knowledge of and attitudes toward lions and the people protecting them. This methodology is the model we are adopting for our own programs.
Help us prove what works.
Evidence is what turns good programmes into fundable, scalable ones for us and for the organisations we work with.
